On behalf of the Mauritian Marathi Society we would like to thank all members who contributed towards this amazing Ganesh Chaturthi this year. It has been an amazing few days of prayers, colours, sounds, food and culture. It gives me great pleasure to state how wonderful it was to see many faces in one place and what a wonderful atmosphere we all created coming together under one roof.
We may not be the biggest minority in the Uk, but we do celebrate in style when we come together.
LATE BHAI SATISH BHINDA
It is with great sadness we learnt that Bhai Satish passed away recently. Bhai Satish and his wife, Pratima, were not members of MMS yet for years they have been our staunch supporters -- always there to provide us with technical advice and perform, free of charge, at our functions. Many a time Bhai Satish came to fine tune our sound system and never asked for anything in return. He was a man who was always prepared to help others. He believed in the fellowship of men. From his wife we learnt that Bhai Satish was a perfect husband, a devoted father and a caring provider for his extended family. Those whose lives he touched will miss him enormously
The next rehearsal will be taking place this sunday from 2-5pm at St John's Hall, Palmers Green. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
The countdown has now started and there are only 15 days to go before Ganesh Chaturthi arrives.
The invitation is now available to find on the website within the download section.

Just a reminder that the Ganesh Chaturthi 2014 festival will be taking place on Friday 29th, Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st August 2014 @ The Darji Mitra Mandal, Palmers Green.
We will shortly be setting up an online sponsoring website to sponsor towards the cost of hall hiring. This year the expected cost will be in the region of 2250-2500, so we are looking to get as many people to sponsor per hour in order to cover the cost. More information will appear on the website within the next few weeks.
New videos to be uploaded onto the website. If anyone has had any problems viewing the videos on the website would you like these to be put onto youtube instead? Please send in your feedback via the contact form at the bottom of the website.
